days in surabaya

I was in Surabaya for 3 days.
Started from Jogja, I and My grandpa went there by Sancaka. The train, you know...
We got the earlier one. Was it Sancaka I? Or Sancaka II? Can't remember. But for sure I remember that we got the morning one, 7.30 am.
Arrived at 1 pm. Then waiting for my Auntie who already been in Surabaya since a day before. Together we went to the hotel. Oh, we had a problem to decide what hotel should we stay. She wanted us to stay in Hotel Bali [a small hotel. very small hotel. but can afford to stay there for 5 days. beside it's near from all the Pasar -market, shopping centre-. Pasar Turi. Pasar Atom. Pasar Genteng.] while I wanted to use my card and stay in at least Mataram Hotel and pay 50% from the publish rate. But she's the boss :)
So we went to Hotel Bali. And its rate start from 45 grand to 100 grand.
Praise the Lord, we took the 100 grand one. Sure, she knew that taking the big one is wiser as 5 will sleep there!
Then we realized it wasn't 5. But 6.
Me, Meggy & Dhelsy [they got the last train on that day], Auntie & Grandpa and Vera [cousin, lives in Surabaya].
Imagine 6 persons in a room. But its Ok. We had 3 queen size beds at last.
In the evening, we're starving. But can't go out as it was rainy. Like hell.
So, I called Dony and asked him whether he could come at the moment or not.
"I've got a home made compilation CD for you"
at the end...
"Please bring us some fried stuff if you could"
In about an hour, he appeared.
Then with him, I went to his boarding house, to make some copy of his CDs.
Hmmm... met his brother [bio brother!] who also my not-so-close-friend since junior high and another not-so-close-friend since senior high. They're going to go out and have some fun, I supposed.
Want to burn all the mp3 onto 2 CDs but all I can get is audio file on a CD.
The Best of Shania Twain.
Yeah, not too bad hahaha. Saved 90 grands [?]. And I've liked her since 4 years ago.
And her country songs are really different, just great!
From his place we went to Tunjungan Plaza to see or buy things that I've forgot.
Then picked Meggy & Dhelsy up at 24.00!
What a train! Late as people think it's usual.

Day 2
I was crazy. Chasing around for all the stuff my brother ordered.
From Pasar Atom, moved to Pasar Turi. Then from Pasar Turi to Pasar Genteng.
Got nothing! But tired.

Day 3
Did all the best I could. Called this called that and then with their help, I went to... I forgot its name!
Finally I had almost all what he ordered, in that shop.
Going back to hotel, I saw Pasar kembang [For old time's sake, don't ask me how many Pasar they have in Surabaya] and kaboom!!!
My yeah-kinda-close friend, Pocai just moved and lived there.
Called his sister, Busy.
Called his another sister, "I'm working. Call him at home, would you?"
But I didn't. Told cabbie to drop me at Tunjungan Plaza.
Alone there. Dony was busy with his deadline.
Handy was ringing. A call from Pocai !
"Meet me at DiscTara Tunjungan Plaza... Ok?"
Again, it was ringing. From Dony. He's willing to go out...
"Find me and Pocai at DiscTara, Tunjungan Plaza!"
And then there were three.
Crazy in that store.
Had our lunch and then with our take-aways we're stepping out.
Dony choosed wrong cab!!!!
Darn cabbie was driving me crazy!
We're speaking our own language and that darn cabbie thought we're just another stupid boys who comes from Mollucas or we're new in surabaya or we don't know anything about darn city and its roads.
Anyway, he was toying us. I lost control. I might be the impolite person but you made me that way, cabbie...
Finally we arrived at the hotel.
We paid double of the usual fare! Double time also!
I couldn't understand why Pocai had to bother him self to cheer him up...
Picked my stuff then said goodbye to my room mates and in a rush gotta catch my train!
