So what if this year my birthday is on Monday?

It is not strange at all to go out having good times with friends on Sunday night :)

After all, we are in the city where the clubs are always open for happy people.

We started our journey by having pre-dance at the Westend Bar & Lounge where some of our friends had the Christmas gathering and continued to the Plaza.

What is a party without these two cool girls? Daniela and Lanard are like the buns to my burger.

Christmas dinner

The point of making friends is to have at least one who is also away from the family and would love to have the christmas dinner with you; Nothing is worse than dining alone on the christmas night.

What are the things you cannot live without?

Like a cat, I have nine lives; This one, I am a cook.

I have to baby sit a cat tonight. I am not joking. Seriously, the cat needs to be taken care of while the owner is away. How pathetic my life is, you might wonder. But scho guät, someone has to do it.

The good thing is I am alone and I can do almost anything without being watched. Let me just say that I am having Yaki Soba and left over sake from party last night for my dinner. Oh for the dessert? I have the Lemon Square fresh from the oven!

Egg tart is the new therapy

I start to like spending my time in the kitchen. It gives me a good feeling or perhaps... it is just me need some things to do. But it is definitely wrong to accuse me spending time in the kitchen to cover my "unhappiness". There is always a new side of a man that shocks you, how annoying one could be, and yes, even I get fooled.

Anyway, growing up in east side of Indonesia, I had a lot of Egg Tart as dessert. It is like a cousin of Portuguese Custard Tart, only bigger. And taste better. Or at least mine does. 

Orange.ch and its fucked up billing system

This is the third time, Orange by mistake over charges me. It happens only when I let them auto debit my bank account. Coincidence? I do not think so.

International evening

I went with Peter and two Italian girls from Switzerland to Germany just to have Thai food for dinner. How strange is that?

Give baby wants baby gets

My best girl friend, Lanard, wanted to have a belated celebration for her birthday. We had celebrated already by having a nice dinner with good friends and family on her actual birthday, August 1st. However, she wanted more.

Home is Züri.

I was so upset to find out that someone opened my luggage and took my Nikon camera which I use to photograph everything I found interesting in Vienna together with my Rayban Wayfarer and a new bottle of Tom Ford Grey Vetiver!

Here is what I learn, when you check your nice Mulberry luggage into the aircraft, make sure none has enough time to open it and steal your stuff before you land to the next airport. Use plastic wrap to seal it!

Worst part of this story is I flew with Swiss LX 1583 at 19:25 from Vienna, arrived in Zurich at 20:40!

Well, the worst one might be that I was too busy back then with lots of exhausting things to do and had no time to submit proper complain for flight company and the insurance.

No, you're not hardcore, unless you live hardcore!

I and some of my class mate were invited for an Indian lunch, home cooked meal, by our Indian class mate named Shilpa. She lives in Zug in a fancy house with the lake as the view!
The food was great and we had a special cheese cake made by Isabella, our Swiss class mate; but everyone was busy with this cool kid sitting on the table with us!

I always want to have a son, or a daughter, does not really matter actually; but I do not know when will I be ready for that kind of commitment. I mean it is really a binding long commitment. You cannot return the child when you realize that you are too busy to take care of that little person.

DIY bed frame is a real pain.

After spending some months living like a Japanese, I decide to set up my bed frame. Apparently, it is impossible to finish the DIY bed frame if you only have the Swiss knife. I bought some stupid mini screwdrivers but they are as useless as the Swiss knife.

I remember a quote saying something like this: Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach.
I guess I should just let the handyman does his work. I'll teach the handyman.

Orange CH is one terrible cellular service provider in Switzerland

I am totally unhappy with the service and all.

My BlackBerry 9800 which I got from Orange.ch in February, ended its life with error 606 on 26 June 2011.
I brought the BlackBerry back to the store hoping to get it repaired for free as it has 12 months guarantee from Orange.
Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a good quality service from Orange.


Two weeks later, I got a letter from Orange asking me to:

a. Get a new BlackBerry 9800 with the price of CHF 388.80 (No kidding, I just paid CHF 508.33 five months ago for the BlackBerry 9800 itself and now I am supposed to pay another CHF 388.80!)
b. Get the dead BlackBerry back with the price of CHF 60 (I have to pay CHF 60 to have the old one which they can't repair, sent to me!)
c. Let Orange destroy the BlackBerry for free. (How generous of them!)

If only I do not have the stupid binding contract with them, I would have already changed to other provider!

Pie baker

Everyone might be against my idea to open up a Café in Zürich but I am still dreaming of it. And I wanna make it comes true one day! Meanwhile, because Peter is making dinner for his flatmates; let me make home made Apple pie for dessert! ;)


Look at it! I definitely should open up my own Café! Any investors out there? Hello?

End of Semester!!!

It did mean PARTY.

Marielle, a french speaking colleague, invited us all for the Apero at her place. Everyone brought a bottle so we had everything from Bier to Vodka to White Wine to them other alcohol.

Straight from her flat, we moved to Vasco da Gama for some more louder music not forget to mention bigger dance floor. Look at the table! If you sacrificed your social life, I mean casual evening drink with your friends, during the whole semester; you would go crazy at the end of semester party, no?

Making Sushi

Tu, a colleague of Peter, invited us for some home made Sushi in Lörrach, a small city in Germany. Although I could not prove you that I helped him, I would say that I could do pretty good in rolling ;)

We had birthday dinner with his parents and few best friends in a restaurant in Winterthur and later on we went to the city for some drinks with our other best friends.

Life is short, you better make use of it doing as many things you like as possible. That include smoking! :)

Dapur Indonesia

It seems like this week is about culinary week :)
I and Paramita, as true Indonesians, are homesick with what dances our tongues best. We decide to pay a visit to the brand new Indonesian restaurant in Zürich Örlikon, called Dapur Indonesia.


The portions are a little bit smaller and are not as spicy as we expected. Later we get the advice to order extra spicy and make sure that they know we mean "Asian spicy", so they can deliver THAT kind of spicy we expected next time.

I definitely will come back again with someone special or simply on a special occasion ;)

Usudaya

I and Bella decide to have Sushi for dinner.. because we love Sushi and the fact that our classmate, Thanyada, is working part time at Usudaya, a Sushi restaurant in Wettingen. :)

The Sushi is good and the portion is huge! :))

La Cambre

I have had spent good 14 years in Catholic pre-school and schools and I will likely end my school years in another one, La Cambre École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels.

If there is nothing else I can learn in Switzerland, by the way my hospitality study is in a big question mark now on how it is gonna end, it is time to move to Brussels and learn art.

You know, I am the next big thing after... the Internet. Hmm art and internet? Ok, say Warhol, Dalí or Hopper! I am the next!

Anyway, I had the chance to meet the staff from La Cambre and asking about the possibility to study there and everything seems possible, if I can sharpen my French skills since they only teach in French ;)

This is, well let's not rush making a decision, this might be the door where I would lock myself behind for five years in the future :)
