Life is a bowl of Ramen

There are not many food which I can not survive without. Ramen is one of them. And there are not many places serving good Ramen in Zurich.

Miki is surprisingly giving me all the uhhh ahhh.

I was there with a group of friends for a birthday dinner and the Tantanmen was delicious (although I could use more Chilli), the sake was warm, so was the service.

The place is rather small, make sure you make the reservation as they are quite busy.
I would definitely come back again!

Cagliari

Cagliari, located 1 hour 45 minutes away by plane from Zurich, is now one of beautiful Mediterranean islands that I found amazing. Mykonos was beautiful but too windy, Ibiza was a party heaven but.. no but. I like Ibiza. But enough with it. If you were planning for a quiet relaxing break, Cagliari would do you good.

Clear green, sometimes dark blue, sea water for chilling after sunbathing on the warm sunny days, inexpensive drinks (Aperol Spritz for 5 euro, hello???), delicious Italian/ sea food, etc.
The only thing one had to deal with was the taxi. There was no uber and taxi could cost you easily 18 euro for 11 km/ 22 minutes ride. Rent a car is advisable.

This is a heaven for those who like to be in the water.

There are some gay beaches with clothing optional. Or to be precisely there are beaches where gay people go for some actions, where the family with children does not go, where there are rocks, such as Mari Pintau (the naturist and gay area is on the far right), Is Canaleddus (again, to the rocks on the right), Calagay (nudism exclusively gay) and Calafighera (nudism, not exclusively gay).

Enough with nudity and more about being prudent gay, there are few spots to meet other such as Cafe dell'Effo where at times there were drag queens entertain the patrons and Darkness Club which is a cruising bar.

Gelmersee

Switzerland is not only about cheese and banking. In Spring and Summer, the lake and alps become favourite destination for locals on weekends. Hiking season is it. Fresh air, beautiful lakes, clean blue water, pretty wild flowers, everything you could think of, you get it here.

I had the luxury of a day off on Saturday and did not want to miss the opportunity to explore the lake Gelmer (or Gelmersee as the locals call it). Around one hour driving from Zurich and few minutes funicular ride (order your tickets beforehand here) to the top and voila... gorgeous turquoise water of the lake and the greens around it are quite a sight for sore eyes. As the weather was not so perfect - foggy and rainy - there were not so many hikers, which I could not complain about. The wildflowers along the path made one appreciates the mother nature more. Life is beautiful if we could pause and look around.
