Killing Fields of Choœung Ek

I had the chance to go see the the killing fields of Chœung Ek this morning. (Entrance fee, USD 2.) There one can see many skulls in the Memorial Stupa and the areas where the mass graves were.

Ok, not being an archaeologist, skull hunter or something like that. But when one is in the kingdom of Cambodia, to visit the Killing Fields of Chœung Ek is quite a must. The skulls in this Stupa were belong to men, women, children, infants and 9 westerners who once were detained and tortured at S-21 (security office 21) by Khmer Rouge.

At Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (entrance fee, USD 2) one can find more information about S-21 and the prisoners.
